The world is red and black again! Flamengo won the Club World Cup on the afternoon of last Tuesday (23rd). In the grand final, the team defeated Russia's Bars 3-2 in an exciting match at the Olympic Park, in Rio de Janeiro. It is the second time that Flamengo is world champion, a feat they achieved for the first time in 2013.
The match was balanced from start to finish. In the first half, Flamengo came to open a 3-0 lead, but saw Bars grow and attack more, managing to cash in the second stage and come very close to tying the game. The Russian team had a penalty in favor, but goalkeeper Vitão defended the charge.
