Pinheiros Wins 2024 Women's Americas League

The 2024  Women's Americas League final between Pinheiros and Corinthians was a tightly contested match, with few clear scoring opportunities in the first half. Goalkeepers Munique, from Corinthians, and Alani, from Pinheiros, stood out with solid saves, keeping the score at 0-0. Despite efforts from Tati Bueno and Cássia, the scoreboard remained unchanged, setting the stage for an even more intense second half.

The balance persisted in the final stage. Corinthians relied on individual plays from Talita and Cássia, while Pinheiros capitalized on counterattacks led by Tati Bueno and Isa. Alani shone by saving a dangerous shot from Natália, while Munique delivered a monumental save against a strike from Luana. With the match still tied at the final whistle, the championship was decided in a dramatic penalty shootout.

Pinheiros dominated the shootout, with goalkeeper Alani emerging as the hero by stopping penalty kicks from Gi and Cássia. On the other side, Luana and Isa converted their attempts for the Paranaense team, sealing a 2-0 victory in penalties.
